The U.S. will impose visa restrictions on Chinese government officials

The U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken announced on March 21 that The State Department would impose visa restrictions on Chinese government officials, urging the Chinese government to stop genocide in Xinjiang, and human rights violations in the Tibet Autonomous Region, Hong Kong and other parts of the world.

Blinken said visa restrictions would be directed at officials involved in the persecution of Uyghur and other ethnic, religious minorities, dissidents, human rights activists, journalists and labor organizers either in China or abroad.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration has increasingly concerned about CCP’s support for Russian military invasion.
