Netherlands Restricts Chip Equipment Exports To Communist China

According to foreign media reports, the Dutch government will restrict the export of advanced chip equipment to Communist China. Dutch Foreign Trade Minister Liesje Schreinemacher said in an exclusive interview with the media to the effect that all interests have been weighed, but national security comes first. She also stated that the world’s most advanced extreme ultraviolet light sales of optical equipment to China have been banned, and restrictions will be imposed on older deep-UV exposure machines that are still being sold to China. In an exclusive interview with The Telegraph on the 8th, Liesje Schreinemacher explained the reasons for this restriction, saying they want to prevent Dutch equipment from being used by China in military affairs, ensure their technological leadership and reduce their strategic dependence on China.

Control measures for the export of advanced chip equipment to China will be implemented by this summer. Liesje Schreinemacher advocates that other EU countries should adopt the same policy as the Netherlands to show the EU’s collective character.
