CCP Continues Effort To Reunite Taiwan To Mainland

Taiwan media reported that the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the National People’s Congress (NPC) will open on March 4 and 5. The spokesperson of the CPPCC reiterated that Communist China will strengthen peaceful exchanges and create a new platform for cross-strait non-governmental exchanges. It is understood that Wang Huning, the fourth member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the CCP, will take over as the chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, responsible for the Taiwan policy and the unification work of all parties and communities in Taiwan. According to reports, the CCP continues to play the unification strategy, emphasizing that cross-strait exchanges and cooperation in various fields have been carried out for 30 years, and friendly ties must continue for the sake of development. The official CCP has heavily publicized the achievements of the CPPCC in promoting cross-strait economic and cultural exchanges with cooperation over the past five years, praising its own unification works. Meanwhile, a spokesman for the CPPCC said that the emotions and the souls of compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are intertwined. The CPPCC will continue to promote exchanges and contacts with people from all walks of life in Taiwan and jointly promote the peaceful development of cross-strait relations.
