Burns said on “Face the Nation” that “We’re confident that the Chinese leadership is considering the provision of lethal equipment”. Meanwhile, Burns emphasized that China has not yet made the decision to transfer lethal aid to Russia.
But on the eve of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping reaffirmed their “unlimited” partnership. Since the beginning of the Russo-Ukraine War, the CCP has not condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and provided Russia with economic support.
