Swedish Publicly Funded Students Forced to Sign Allegiance Agreement By the CCP

Swedish media recently revealed that doctoral students from Communist China are forced to sign an agreement of allegiance to the Chinese Communist Party as well as other agreements before arriving at Swedish universities. The agreement includes that their families in Communist China will be held responsible if they break the agreement. During their study abroad, their close relatives are not allowed to leave Communist China for an extended period. Swedish institutions of higher learning such as the Karolinska Institute, Lund University, and Uppsala University have confirmed that more than 30 international students from Communist China have signed agreements to study in Sweden through the “China Scholarship Council”. The Council, which is under the jurisdiction of the CCP ‘s Ministry of Education, sends hundreds of Chinese students each year to the US, UK, Sweden, and other countries in the name of promoting international academic exchanges with universities around the world. According to reports in Sweden, after a Chinese student at Lund University, one of Sweden’s top institutions, was advised not to continue his studies because of poor academic performance, the student claims the decision will mean his family in Communist China will bear the loss. This is because the student’s relatives signed an agreement. After the incident, reports of these documents began to spread immediately. Sources in Swedish higher education said that the agreement the CCP forced the international students to sign did not comply with Swedish higher education regulations. Dissidents of the CCP regime in the US said that not only Sweden but also all publicly funded students from Communist China are required to sign similar documents. These publicly funded students are the products of the CCP’s tuition program. They are required to sign guarantees in Communist China before leaving the country. The relatives of these students, as well as university teachers, introducers, and schools, are all jointly involved in the responsibility of the students.
