Biden Urges For An Investigation Into Twitter’s Anonymous Investors

President Biden said on Wednesday that Twitter’s acquisition should be investigated since the acquisition involves collaboration with foreign nations, according to the filing registration documents with the U.S. Department of Treasury Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) last week. US Senator Chris Murphy also appealed that the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United State (CFIUS) should look into the transaction.

After Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, Saudi Arabia’s Prince Alwaleed bin Talal al Saud, speaking on behalf of the Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) based in Riyadh, released a statement announcing the transfer of their $1.89 billion stake in the original Twitter to the new Twitter run by Elon Musk.

Furthermore, according to Musk’s filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the cryptocurrency exchange Binance, which is controlled by the Chinese Communist Party, is also a significant investor in the transaction. The Biden administration has not yet suggested a review of on this matter.
