Former Secretary of State Pompeo Visits Taiwan for the Second Time

After US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan on August 2, 2022, political and business figures from various countries visited Taiwan one after another, expressing support for Taiwan’s pursuit of freedom and democracy. On September 27, the former US Secretary of State Pompeo visited Taiwan for the second time this year. In a forum speech, he said: “Taiwan does not need to declare independence, because it is already an independent nation.” He has also called for the U.S. to decouple from the Communist Chinese economy.

 When Mr. Pompeo was Secretary of State in the Trump administration, he defined the crimes committed by the CCP against the Uyghurs and other Muslim minorities in Xinjiang as ethnic elimination and crimes against humanity, and in doing so, exposed the true evil of the CCP on the international stage. During this week’s visit to Taiwan, Mr. Pompeo met with Taiwanese @taiwanbigcow, a fellow fighter of the New Federal State of China, and said that China’s ‘Berlin Wall’ would fall faster than expected, while emphasizing that seeing the Taiwanese people reminded him of the honorable Ukrainians.

 Data in recent years show that nearly half of the world’s cargo ship traffic pass through the Taiwanese Strait, and that 88% of the world’s large container ships need to pass through this area. The importance of Taiwan’s chip industry in the world economy is reflected in the world’s largest foundry, TSMC, which took over 50% of the global chip foundry market revenue in 2021. The safety and security of Taiwan is therefore paramount to maintaining the operation of the world’s economy.

 Pompeo encouraged the Taiwanese people to “make great strides forward with their heads up” in his meeting with @taiwanbigcow who, on behalf of the New Federal State (NFSC) of China, presented Mr. Pompeo a souvenir brooch of the seven-pointed star of NFSC.
