The CCP Virus Vaccine Will No Longer Be Required for World Cup Fans in Qatar

The Gulf state of Qatar declared on September 29th local time that attendees of this year’s World Cup will not be required to receive the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) virus vaccine.

The World Cup Championship is scheduled to begin on November 20th and will last for 29 days. It is the first significant sporting event in which fans are taking part in person since the beginning of the CCP virus pandemic in December 2019. Qatar expects more than 1 million fans to attend the event. The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) stated that they intend for the event to serve as a symbol for the global effort to combat the CCP virus. Certain restrictions remain in place, such as the requirement for spectators over the age of six who enter the venue to test negative for the CCP virus, and those who test positive must spend five days in quarantine in Qatar. Even though masks are only recommended at eight competition venues in the Doha region, they are still required on all public transportation. In addition, spectators may have to wait in line due to the size of the crowd.

According to official sources, nearly every team at the World Cup has players who rejected receiving the CCP virus vaccine. 15% of players in the Premier League opted not to get vaccinated.
