Another Mass Grave Discovered In Ukraine

According to media on Sept. 16, Ukrainian officials claimed that they found a burial site with 440 graves in the northeastern Ukrainian town of Izyum, which they had just recaptured from Russian forces.

 Bolvinov, the chief police investigator for the Kharkiv region, accused that Russian troops tried to bury the bodies after indiscriminately killing innocent people in the urban area under their control. Some of those buried died from gunshot, others from artillery and air strikes.

 Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yenin said on the 15th that Ukrainian troops had found much evidence of Russian atrocities after entering the Kharkiv region. Many of the remains found showed signs of torture and abuse, and that the local population was completely under Russia’s brutal control. He believes more evidence of Russian atrocities will be found.

 President Zelensky accused Russian troops of killing innocent people everywhere and called for Russia to be held accountable for war crimes, after his visit to Izyum on 14th.

 During Zelensky’s meeting with President of European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, who conveyed the EU’s support for Ukraine and said that it is necessary and vital to provide Ukraine with adequate military equipment. Ukraine has proved with facts that a well-equipped Ukrainian army will be able to win this war.
