Malaysia Has Announced Lifting of Border Restrictions for Unvaccinated Entrants

On the 2nd of August, the Malaysian Ministry of Health (MOH) announced that effective from the 1st of August, all the related restrictions have been lifted for individuals who have not vaccinated against CCP virus (Covid-19), including PCR test and mandatory quarantine.
According to the reports, for adult travelers who have not been vaccinated or who have not received more than two doses of the vaccine, MOH stated that these groups of travellers will no longer require to follow the entry restrictions implemented in May, including PCR test , rapid antigen test, or 5 days quarantine mandate. This policy began on August 1st.
Malaysia has not only lifted entry restrictions, but has also discontinued the MySejahtera travel card, a mobile app designed to collect information on incoming travellers in order to combat the CCP virus, according to the report. This means no matter whether the travellers have been vaccinated or not, they do not have to go through any CCP-virus-related process upon entering Malaysia.
Furthermore, Malaysia Tourism reminds travellers that the MySejahtera travel card may still be required when entering large commercial establishments and hotels.
