Thousands Of UK Firms Turning Away From The Communist China

Tony Dank, director general of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), said in an interview on July 30 that, the increased political and national security tensions between the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the West has driven thousands of British companies to cut their economic ties with the Communist China.

Tony Danker, director-general of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), warned that thousands of companies in the UK are restructuring their supply chains anticipating growing anti-China political sentiment.

British companies has reconsidered their supply chains amid West has switched on decoupling from the Communist China. The UK would need to rebuild its supply chain by screening new trade partners and rekindling old partners – such as the EU. If the UK failed to do that, corporate supply chains would be “more expensive and thus inflationary”, Danker said.

Danker also warned that restructuring of supply chains in the Communist China would exacerbate the cost of living crisis in the UK. The price would inevitably rise.

At present, the British economy’s dependence on the supply chain in the Communist China remains a major topic for British politicians, particularly the threats it posted on British national security.
