Zheng Zhou Depositors Failed to Withdraw Cash and Crackdown by both Mafia and Government

It is reported that depositors of rural banks in Henan Province were unable to withdraw cash since April. They were restricted from travelling because their health code status turned “red” when they tried to go to Henan in June. The total amount of savings may worth as high as nearly 40 billion Yuan ($6 billion), which was of great concern.

 The depositors who lost their money, including children and disabled people, protested outside the Zhengzhou branch of the People’s Bank of China at around 5 A.M. July 10th.

 The depositors held the slogans: “No More Authoritarian Suppression, Stop Colluding with Mafia and Beat US”, “Stop Corruption and Violence, the Government is Destroying Chinese Dream”, and “Stop Hypocritic Zeroing Policy”.

 The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) authority deployed extra police forces and people in white (mafia), and those in white formed a human chain and stood in front of the police to block the depositors and violently attack them.

 There were serious unrest and bloody clashes after the depositors were besieged by the police. Online videos showed the scene was chaotic, the people in white beat and pulled the depositors.

 Weibo Photos showed that even woman and the disabled were beaten with blood in their mouth, even into coma. Many people in white attacked the protesters, and kicked and beat activists along the way.

 The Chinese censorship department blocked the trending topic “Thousands of depositors attacked before the People’s Bank in Henan” and “Zhengzhou beating” on Weibo. The information on WeChat has also been blocked.
