U.S. Secretary of State Blinken Will Go to Japan to Mourn Mr. Abe

According to media news on July 10th, the U.S. State Department issued a statement announcing that Secretary of State Blinken, who is currently visiting Bangkok, Thailand, will visit Japan on July 11th to express condolences to the deceased former Prime Minister Abe.

During his stay in Japan, he will also meet with Japanese government officials. Former U.S. President Donald Trump, who is known to be close to Abe, also told some media outlets that he is considering attending Abe’s funeral.
