Beijing Halted COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate After Backlash From Residents

On July 5, the Beijing authority has announced CCP virus (COVID-19) vaccinations mandate for residents to entering public places from July 11. This move has caused backlash from the public who criticize the authority for forcing residents to be vaccinated in Communist China.

Under pressure from public opinion, the CCP called an urgent halt to the new policy. In the late evening of July 7, the Beijing Daily reported that the official in charge of the Beijing Prevention and Control Office said that people can normally enter all kinds of public places with a negative nuclear acid test (PCR) within 72 hours and strict temperature check.

Some netizens in China criticized the mandatory policy which not only affects their living but violates the country’s basic principle of “informed, consent and voluntary” for vaccination.

People reacted on social media platforms, saying: “Should Beijing’s initial be considered as a disguised form of coercive enforcement while The National Health Commission says vaccination must be voluntary not compulsory?” “They are depriving the unvaccinated citizens’ rights while saying no mandatory.” “It is indeed compulsory.” “The Covid-19 vaccines are useless and have so many side effects, so I’m determined not to get it.” “They can’t earn enough money from Nuclear Acid test anymore, so it is time to change to the vaccines, isn’t it?”

Some commentators point out that this unlawful policy introduced by Beijing is definitely not for the well-being of the people, the prevention of pandemic is just a disguise to cover their interests, or to help pharmaceutical companies reduce vaccines inventory.
