67 British Politicians Call for Ban on Hikvision & Dahua

It was reported on July 4 that the U.S. had blacklisted both Hikvision and Dahua for providing the Chinses Communist Party (CCP) with equipment and technology to monitor and suppress Uyghur Muslims. Meanwhile, in England, 67 politicians signed a petition to urge the United Kingdom government to issue a ban on Hikvision and Dahua. Names on the petition include right-wing Conservative Member of Parliament Steve Baker and David Davies, leader of Liberal Democrat Sir Ed Davey, and left-wing figures such as former shadow chancellor John McDonald and Green Party Member of Parliament Caroline Lucas.

The monitoring equipment made by the Chinese company, Hikvision, has been confirmed to be deployed throughout Xinjiang and supplying monitoring equipment and facial recognition technology to internment camps targeting Uyghurs in this region.

Previously, some media have continuously disclosed that Huawei used its equipment and technology in the 5G networks to help the CCP conduct large-scale surveillance through facial recognition and predictive computer algorithms. While Hikvision and Dahua, two Chinese suppliers that supply monitoring equipment to the CCP, have violated the human rights of Uyghurs in Xinjiang and other ethnic minorities. In recent years, the CCP has been stealing the achievements of the free and civilized world through “Military-Civil Integration,” National Intelligence Law, theft, coercion, and other means. And they used technology for criminal activities such as espionage, monitoring, or collecting sensitive data. All the above have confirmed Miles Guo’s accusation that the CCP is a group of evil criminals.
