TSMC Completes R&D Center in Japan While CCP’s Plan Continues to Fail

On June 24th, the world’s largest semiconductor factory Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC) completed its R&D center in Ibaraki, Japan. In order to prevent the threat of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) force against Taiwan and the chip supply chain, the company made this arrangement in advance to diversify its risks.

The construction cost of the R&D center is about 37 billion yen, the Japanese government contributed about half, which is 19 billion yen. At the inauguration ceremony, TSMC’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Wei Zhejia said that Japan and Taiwan have important ties in the world’s semiconductor supply chain, and the partnership between both sides at the facility will surely bring more innovation.
As we all know, high-end semiconductors are indispensable in fields such as communication networks and autonomous driving. Therefore, all countries have been strongly supporting the semiconductor industry for economic security, thus forming a situation of increasingly fierce competition.

In response, Chen Wenling, the CCP’s so-called economist threatened on May 30th the “reunification” with Taiwan must be done when the United States and the West impose destructive sanctions on Communist China like those on Russia. Particularly in the reconstruction of the industrial chain and supply chain, TSMC must be seized. TSMC is currently accelerating its transfer to the United States with plans to establish 6 plants in the US. We absolutely cannot allow it to achieve all of its diverted goals.
Chen Wenling’s words may seem shocking, but these are actually the CCP’s true view on the current situation.
