The CCP’s missile-interception system has made no substantial progress

According to foreign report on June 20th, the Communist China Defence Ministry stated the nation has carried out a land-based missile interception test that “achieved its expected purpose.” The author believes that the test may fail, but the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is good at playing with words, describing it as defensive and not aiming at any country.

As part of an ambitious modernization scheme overseen by President Xi Jinping, Communist China has been ramping up research on various sorts of missiles, from those that can destroy space satellites to advanced nuclear-tipped ballistic missiles, all of which rely on stealing from Western nations.

Beijing has tested missile interceptors before, most recently in February 2021 and in 2018. State media say Communist China has been testing anti-missile systems since 2010.

Communist China and its ally Russia have repeatedly opposed to the U.S. deployment of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) anti-missile system in South Korea.

Communist China believes the devices’ powerful radars can detect its territory. Communist China and Russia also held simulated anti-missile drills. Apart from occasional brief statements by the Defense Ministry or state media, Communist China has provided few details about its missile program.
