Top International Tennis Tournaments Drop the CCP Virus Vaccine Mandate

On April 26, Wimbledon Tennis All England Club reportedly announced that the requirement for participating athletes to be vaccinated against the CCP virus would be lifted. This allows unvaccinated players to compete on Wimbledon fields and not having to be quarantined upon arrival in the UK, effective on June 27.
In addition, the tournament director of the French Open also said last month that unvaccinated players would be allowed to participate in the tournament starting on May 22 this year.
Driven by this policy trend, the president of the Italian Tennis Federation recently stated that the five-time champion Novak Djokovic is qualified to compete in Rome for the Italian Open next month despite not being vaccinated. Earlier, Djokovic had missed several public matches in Italy due to his refusal to be vaccinated against the CCP virus.
On top of lifting mandatory vaccine regulations in various sports events, the original restrictions on spectator numbers due to the virus rage have also been gradually relaxed. The tennis center in the Roman Forum will soon allow full spectator seating.
