The U.S. Vice President, Kamala Harris, tested positive for CCP virus on April 26th. A spokesperson for the Vice President’s office said she had no symptoms. Up to now, she is the highest-ranking administration official to contract the CCP virus in the United States. The White House declared that President Biden’s routine tests came back negative and he was not infected. It is reported that Harris was fully vaccinated last October and had received two booster shots. On March 15th, 2022, her husband tested positive for the CCP virus, while Harris tested negative on the next day. Harris spokesperson said, notwithstanding her positive result, President Biden and the first lady were not close contacts due to their respective recent travel schedules. Recently, there have been frequent reports of new confirmed cases in Washington. Senators Chris Murphy and Ron Wyden also tested positive for the CCP virus on the same day. Both senators are fully vaccinated and experiencing mild symptoms.
