Tsai Ing-wen will be quarantined for her family member tested positive for the CCP virus

On April 8, local time, the Taiwan Presidential Office notified the footprints of people who tested positive for the CCP virus (COVID-19). According to the Presidential Office spokesperson, President Tsai Ing-wen spent the Tomb Sweeping Festival with 11 family members at her residence on Monday, one of whom was diagnosed at noon on April 8.

President Tsai Ing-wen has tested negative so far, and people who were in close contact with the President have also tested negative.
President Tsai has started more than ten days quarantine until April 21. Her public events would all be suspended during this period, and related work would be carried out online or by video conference.

Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of U.S. House of Representatives has tested positive for the CCP virus (COVID-19) after media reported her scheduled trip to Taiwan. The next day, Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen became a close contact of the positive CCP virus case, she had to be quarantined and canceled all her public events.
