Audio recordings of the exchange between the two ships revealed that when the Taiwanese ship called on the Chinese warship to avoid Taiwan’s contiguous zone, the Chinese ship claimed that the area “doesn’t exist” and declared that “Taiwan is an inalienable part of China.” The incident occurred as the Chinese warship approached Taiwan’s contiguous zone, which extends 24 nautical miles from the coast. The Taiwanese frigate warned the Chinese ship that its actions had “seriously damaged the peace, stability, and security of the Taiwan Strait region” and that it should not “create trouble and increase the security risk.” The Chinese warship responded by claiming that those who seek Taiwan’s independence undermine cross-strait peace and stability and that the 24-nautical mile contiguous zone does not exist. The tension between China and Taiwan has been on the rise in recent years, with China claiming sovereignty over Taiwan and threatening to use force to bring it under its control. The situation has been further complicated by Taiwan’s growing ties with the United States, which recently sent a high-level delegation to the island and pledged to support Taiwan’s defence. There is a potential for an all-out war between communist China and independent Taiwan if the situation continues to escalate. But with communist China as usual demanding that Taiwan kowtows to the dictatorships’ brutal regime and surrender its independence, a peaceful solution seems to be a long way away. The Chinese Communist Party has been intimidating and bullying Taiwan for many years now to give up its independence and fall into line and allow mainland China to totally take over the peace-loving island. The evil CCP does not by any stretch of the imagination represent the real citizens of both mainland China and Taiwan the evil CCP only represents themselves.
