As reported in the media, on March 20, President Joe Biden signed a bipartisan bill into law S.619, the “COVID-19 Origin Act of 2023,” which requires the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) to declassify all information relating to potential links between the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the origin of CCP-VIRUS (AKA COVID-19).
According to the statement of President Biden, he also believes that both the congress and his administration need to get to the bottom of the origins of the CCP-VIRUS to help ensure better prevention of future pandemics, including potential links to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
It’s notable that, in the Whitehouse statement, to protect “information that would harm national security,” President Biden is willing to share “as much information as possible” with the 118th Congress after his administration reviewed the related classified information.
