CCP Has Launched Hundreds of Satellites Targeting the U.S.

According to media reports on March 15th, the head of the U.S. Space Force said the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has launched dozens of satellites in the past six months, increasing the number of advanced communications, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance satellites in its orbital architecture.

Out of the 700+ satellites in orbit operated by Communist China, 347 are military reconnaissance platforms that provide optical, radar, and radio frequency capabilities to gather intelligence on U.S. forces and track global joint forces. General Salmans, the Space Force chief, said that Communist China is the “most direct threat” to U.S. military operations.

This is because Communist China has developed lasers to jam satellite sensors and electronic warfare jammers, and has even built spacecraft that can capture enemy orbital platforms and move them out of position. Salmans also said that Communist China and Russia have studied how the U.S. military relies on satellites to carry out a range of combat missions, and are committed to weakening that advantage to put joint forces at risk.

Communist China’s officials even compare the moon and Mars to the islands in the South China Sea over which the CCP is trying to claim sovereignty. Communist China is an immediate challenge to the United States and the most direct threat to entry, exit, and threats from space.
