EU Spokesman Says the CCP Has Chosen a Side on the War in Ukraine

According to a March 13th report by the Ukrainian National News Agency, Peter Stano, EU Lead Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, said at a press conference in Brussels that the EU supports all efforts by any country to end the aggressive war that Russia has launched against Ukraine as soon as possible, but the so-called “peace proposals” of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has shown that the CCP has chosen a side in the conflict. He stressed that every country that has influence on Russia should make sure that Russia stops its inhuman aggression as soon as possible. As a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, the CCP should defend UN charter and work for peace. However, based on the current actions and proposals of the CCP, the CCP is actually playing a role in supporting the aggressor, which is unjust. Stano also reminded the audience that in a recent vote at the United Nations General Assembly, 141 countries condemned Russia’s war crimes against Ukraine, and only 5 to 7 countries firmly supported the aggressor, plus Communist China with its abstention. The international community strongly urges the CCP to stop stirring up trouble and undermining the international order.
