Chinese Long March Rocket Disintegrates Over Texas During Military Spy Satellite Launch

According to media reports, on June 23rd, 2022, the Chinese Communist Party launched three military spy satellites into orbit through the “Long March” 2D rocket. The second stage of the rocket broke up over Texas on March 8th, 2023, and re-entered the Earth’s atmosphere.

The U.S. Space Command stated, “This is an uncontrolled re-entry, which means it was not guided, but rather naturally decayed and landed. This situation highlights the need for better international regulations for high-risk and uncontrolled flying objects.”

Data shows that the rocket entered the atmosphere over Marathon, Texas in the west, and then fell northeast between Abilene and Austin, the least densely populated area of Texas.

As of the afternoon of March 9th, the Communist China government has not yet acknowledged that their rocket had re-entered the Earth’s atmosphere, and U.S. officials were still confirming whether any debris had landed.
