Russia Announced Launches Of Submarine Cruise Missiles In Sea Of Japan

According to media reports, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on March 3 that a diesel-electric submarine of the Russian Pacific Fleet, near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatka, launched a cruise missile in the Sea of Japan.

According to the released video, the Russian submarine departed from Vladivostok, and the missile was launched from the sea after the signal was given. The Russian Defense Ministry said the missile hit a target on the training ground in the Khabarovsk region more than 1,000 kilometers away.

It is reported that Russia has conducted this “caliber” shooting exercise many times and used it to attack critical infrastructure in Ukraine during its invasion of Ukraine. Some commentators said that the missile test exercise is considered to be aimed at deterring the United States, Japan, and other countries that are opposed to Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine.
