U.S. House Speaker McCarthy Said Communist China Cannot Tell Him Where He Can Go

The U.S. Department of Defense will probably be preparing for House Speaker McCarthy’s visit to Taiwan in the spring. All parties have been paying close attention to it. When McCarthy answered reporters’ questions on January 1st, he did not directly respond to whether he would visit Taiwan or not but insisted that Communist China has no right to make criticisms, and he could go anywhere at any time. On February 2nd, McCarthy was asked again about matters related to his visit to Taiwan. He said, “”I don’t have anything scheduled right now.”” When responding to whether he was worried that the visit to Taiwan would worsen the situation in the Taiwan Strait, McCarthy reiterated that his point of view was very clear, “”I don’t think China can tell me where I can go at any time, at any place.””

In August 2022, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan. She was the second Speaker to visit Taiwan after the United States broke off diplomatic relations with the Republic of China (Taiwan), and particularly, the first Speaker of the majority party. The CCP was very upset about it and launched a large-scale military exercise around Taiwan after Pelosi left Taiwan. McCarthy praised Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan last spring and expressed his intention to visit the island if he became the Speaker. Mr. Miles Guo, the leader and founder of the Whistleblower Movement and the New Federal State of China (NFSC), stated in a GETTR video on November 26th last year that the CCP would be very terrified of McCarthy being elected as the House Speaker. He said if it happened, a series of sanctions and actions by the United States against the CCP would become a reality at lightning speed, which means that the CCP would be terminated soon.
