Shu Jueting, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, said at a press conference on January 12 that Communist China’s total import and export volume reached a new high last year. Although the risk of a global economic recession is rising and the growth of external demand continues to slow down, the demand in some industries is weak and orders are insufficient, but with the implementation of the CCP’s favorable policies for foreign trade enterprises, the order receiving situation of major exporting to provinces has improved significantly.
Just when the external thought that the CCP’s economic prospects were promising, CCP’s media outlet Caixin published an article on the same day diametrically opposed to the party’s public statement.
Caixin reported that recently, it had conducted investigations into 14 domestic and overseas organizations. The analysis shows that Communist China’s economy slowed down sharply in the fourth quarter of 2022, and Communist China’s exports in December 2022 dropped by 8% year-on-year.
