Xiaomi’s Founder Lei Jun Step Down Again

Mainland Chinese media reported on January 10th that Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co., Ltd. had a change in business registration that Lei Jun had stepped down as the chairman.

The report said Beijing Xiaomi Software Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in December 2011, and is wholly owned by Xiaomi H.K. Limited (XIAOMIHKLIMITED). Together with Lei Jun’s stepping down as chairman of Xiaomi Software, Lu Weibing, the company’s legal representative and general manager was demoted to executive director and manager. Other related coverage shows that previously, Lei Jun stepped down as chairman of Xiaomi Pictures Co., Ltd. and director of Beijing Tianmi Technology Co., Ltd.

China’s state media said that it will lead people to a society of common prosperity. However, due to the Chinese government’s extreme COVID lockdown policy and unprepared open-up, the common Chinese people had to share the same graves rather than wealth. People with assets over 1 million Chinese Yuan now become the Chinese government’s targets, as their wealth will be shared so that people can all become wealthy. Lei Jun will not be an exception.
