On November 15th, a video which went viral on the internet recorded the plight of a long-haul truck driver detained in his vehicle and forbidden to return home on account of the CCP’s brutal Zero-Covid policy.
The middle-aged driver had already done 2 PCR tests on that day which returned negative. The driver urinated in the truck as he was prohibited to leave for more than 10 hours. He broke the seal on the truck door in order to defecate . This became the perfect excuse for the epidemic prevention staff to force the driver into quarantine at his own expense of 75 yuan per day.
The driver and his employer called the police. The police ascertained that the driver’s PCR test results were negative and allowed him to leave. Nonetheless, after the police left the epidemic prevention staff insisted that the driver must go to the quarantine center.
The driver blew his top and vented that he knew of two girls who died due to the harsh local epidemic prevention policy and quarantine. The unreasonable, arrogant and barbaric attitude of these local epidemic prevention staff will surely cause more ordinary people like him to die away from his hometown.
