Chinese Social Media Platform Launches Palmprint-based Payment App To Further Enslave its Users

Chinese social media platform WeChat has recently launched a smartphone-based application that allows its user to make payments through scanning of the user’s palm.

To activate this payment method, users need to scan their palm biometrics on their smartphone, after which they can pay with just a swipe of their hand at any store that supports this payment method. So far, this function is being tested in some merchants in Shenzhen and is being further improved.

Many people said that this payment method put their privacy and security at risk, while others believed that the payment was introduced for the sole purpose of collecting everyone’s personal biometric information.

There is no doubt that this new palm scan payment method on WeChat is yet another way by which the CCP continues to deprive people of their privacy and freedom.
