Zelenskyy Says Russia Suffers Heavy Losses of Troops on the Battlefield

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on October 16th that Russia had lost nearly 65,000 troops with many wounded as explosions took place in Russia’s Belgorod region.

In his speech that evening, Zelensky said in his nightly address Saturday that so many Russian citizens gave their lives for the possibility of a handful of people in the Kremlin to ignore reality. By the way the Russian ‘burial operation’ is carried out, it can be said that even 100,000 dead Russian citizens will not prompt the Kremlin to think a little bit.

Russian officials said the explosions injured several people in the Russian region of Belgorod, across the border from the Ukrainian province of Kharkov on Sunday. Ukrainian officials have not commented on the explosions, which came just a day after two gunmen killed 11 people and wounded 15 others on a military training ground in the same region.
