According to the G-Translator team of New Federal State of China, on October 17th, Taiwan’s presidential office had released a statement regarding the remarks made by Xi Jinping at the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party with Taiwan: Taiwan will not back down on its sovereignty or compromise on freedom and democracy, and Taiwan people clearly oppose Beijing’s idea of “one country, two systems.”.
