European Public Prosecutor Opens Investigation into Procurement of CCP Virus Vaccine in EU

On Oct 14th, the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) confirmed that it has an ongoing investigation into the acquisition of CCP virus vaccines in the European Union. This exceptional confirmation comes after the extremely high public interest.

 The European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) is an independent body of the European Union (EU) with juridical personality, established under the Treaty of Lisbon between 22 of the 27 states of the EU following the method of enhanced cooperation. It is based in Kirchberg, Luxembourg City alongside the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) and the European Court of Auditors (ECA).The role of the EPPO is to investigate and prosecute fraud against the budget of the European Union and other crimes against the EU’s financial interests including fraud concerning EU funds of over €10,000 and cross-border VAT fraud cases involving damages above €10 million.

 Mislav Kolakusic, a Member of the European Parliament (“MEP”) from Republic of Croatia, recently stated that the purchase of 4.5 billion doses of the CCP virus vaccine for 450 million EU residents is the biggest corruption scandal in the history of mankind; and the EU Commission should immediately terminate contracts for new doses of “”fake vaccines”” against the CCP virus and demand the return of the 2.5 billion euros paid so far, and everyone who lied that the CCP virus vaccine prevent the spread of the virus must be held accountable.
