CCP Angrily Denounced Pompeo’s China Policy of CCP Is Not Equal to Chinese people

A media reported on October 4th that Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was targeted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for criticizing the party’s leadership in a new set of broadcasts meant to address the Chinese people.

The first broadcast on September 14th concentrated on establishing a distinction between the 1.4 billion people of China and the Chinese Communist Party (CPC), a crucial China policy strategy introduced by Mr. Pompeo at the State Department during the Trump administration.

The Hudson Institute, a Washington-based think group that is hosting the broadcasts at its new China Center, received a reprimand letter from the Chinese Embassy in response to the programme. On September 27th, a letter criticized Pompeo for making a “baseless allegation against the CCP.” “Any attempt to sever the blood ties between the CCP and the Chinese people is doomed to fail,” said the letter which was signed “the Chinese Embassy in the United States.”

In response to the letter, Mr. Pompeo tweeted and said, “The CCP wants me to stop speaking the truth. Won’t happen.” An emoji of a person discarding a piece of paper in a trash can was used in the tweet. The Washington Times quoted the former secretary of state as saying that the criticism had not stopped him from visiting Taiwan recently.
