Biden Denounces Russia’s “Phony” Act of Annexation

Truss emphasized that the United Kingdom will never ignore the sovereignty of the Ukrainian people and will never recognize these four states as other places outside the territory of Ukraine,” she added, “Putin cannot be allowed to alter international borders using brute force. We will ensure he loses this illegal war.”Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida had a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy on the evening of September 30th. Regarding Russia’s forcible annexation of pro-Russian-controlled areas in the four southeastern provinces of Ukraine into Russia, Prime Minister Kishida said that the war is a violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and it also violates international law, and such practice must not be recognized and will be strongly condemned. After the meeting, Prime Minister Kishida made this clear to reporters at the prime minister’s official residence. According to reports, President Zelensky expressed his deep gratitude. In response to Russia’s behavior, Prime Minister Kishida said that Japan will work closely with the G7 and consider further sanctions.
