CCP Policy: Pandemic Lockdown Precedes Escaping From Earthquake

Earthquakes are not uncommon in this region; locals are accustomed to the occasional tremors; but this time the effect of the quake was so violent that residents instantly felt they needed to escape to the street level to be safe.

However, the local authorities blocked people from leave their residential communities in Chengdu, Sichuan, citing the Pandemic lockdown is still in place. They even claimed that it was safer for residents to stay at home due to the earthquake being too strong. In some residential communities, the authority put out a policy that only granted one person per family to escape out. In some cases, some made it to the ground floor only to find the main entrance of the building had been locked up.

Also, some people did manage to get out of their building at first but were persuaded to return by the messages from loudspeakers, saying that this was merely an earthquake; gathering on the street level was not allowed. What’s even worse, when some people cautiously questioned if it is proper that the government puts the Pandemic lockdown measure over people’s immediate safety, they somehow ended up being physically assaulted by others, in the name of negatively affecting the mood of others.

Under the Chinese Communist Party, not only the local government is incapable of responding well to natural disasters, but on the contrary, it also makes things worse.
