It is reported, Australia’s Labor Government Prime Minister Albanese said he would release an Attorney’s report on Tuesday on the former PM Scott Morrison secretly held multiple ministerial portfolio during the pandemic.
Albanese suggested Morrison was centralized and didn’t inform his Cabinet. He said he might consider a broader investigation, and that Morrison’s actions are concerned to the political conventions and checks on power of democracy. He fell short of stating that Morrison’s actions were illegal.
The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) news Agency and other media also track Morrison’s ‘scandal’. The CCP seems to gloat his crisis.
Morrison has faced criticism and pressure from the Labour Government and his own party after stepping down as Liberal leader after losing the general election in May. Morrison said last week that the pandemic was an extraordinary time and that he had not taken on ministries and that no ministerial work had been disrupted, only intervened to block a resources project.
Morrison has always upheld a tough stance on the CCP during his term.
