Russia Lost 5,000 Units of Weaponry in Ukraine

Since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24th, Russia has lost at least 5,083 units of military equipment on the battlefield.

According to reports, Oryx, an international organization, published a series of photos and videos and identified losses of the Russian army and weaponry seized by the Ukrainian army.

The Ukrainian military seized roughly 1,410 units of equipment. As of August 7th, the organization listed 3,238 photos of destroyed Russian equipment, where 109 were damaged, and 326 were deserted. Meanwhile, deserted equipment was possibly seized or destroyed later.

In addition, Oryx only showed photos or videos of the destroyed vehicle and equipment, and destroyed equipment much more than displayed.

The Russian army lost 929 tanks, where 565 were destroyed, 35 were damaged, and 49 were deserted. The Ukrainian army also captured more than 280 Russian tanks.

Russia also lost 518 armed vehicles, more than 1,000 infantry fighting vehicles, more than 140 armed transportation vehicles, and 32 mine-resistant vehicles.
