According to a July 28th report by the Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of the Workers’ Party of Korea, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un made comments at a celebration on July 27th, marking the 69th anniversary of the armistice in the Korean War, saying his country is ready to mobilize its nuclear war deterrent, and is prepared for any military conflict.
Kim not only clearly stated his confrontational stance, but also said to the United States that North Korea is ready to deal with any military conflict with the US. If the US continues to smear North Korea’s image and seriously threaten its security and fundamental interests, the US will face greater anxiety and crisis.
In addition, Kim spoke against the government of Yoon Sek-yue for the first time. He said that if South Korea tries to confront North Korea by military means and believes that it can paralyze or destroy North Korea’s military force in a pre-emptive way, it will be a big mistake, and such dangerous attempts will be punished immediately and forcefully with Yoon’s government and its army being completely wiped out.
On this basis, Kim insists that the North Korean nuclear war deterrent force is fully prepared and its mission is to be able to carry out its tasks faithfully, accurately and in a timely manner.
It is reported that this is the first time Kim Jong-un has named and criticized the Yoon Sek-yue government by name, and his intension seems to be containing the threat from the alliance between South Korea and the US.
Yoshihiko Isozaki, deputy chief of the Cabinet Office of Japan, said Japan will closely work with the US and South Korea, and do their best to conduct vigilance and surveillance.
Isozaki, said at a press conference in the morning that North Korea’s nuclear missile program threatens the peace and security of Japan and the international community. That is absolutely unacceptable. The Japanese government will continue to do its best to collect, analyze and monitor all the necessary information, and that Japan, the US and South Korea will strengthen cooperation to achieve the complete denuclearization of North Korea.
