O’Brien Warns Communist China Posing Serious Threat to U.S.

It’s reported on July 22nd that former White House national security adviser Robert O’Brien was elected chairman of the Richard Nixon Foundation board. He told Fox News that through this position, he hopes to help Americans realize the threat that Communist China poses to the United States.

O’Brien said that in the past, the Nixon government hoped Communist China to “become wealthier, become more democratic and more liberal, and more like us.” It’s exactly the opposite today. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has become more oppressive, more authoritarian, and taken a very different course than the US has expected. O’Brien warned that the CCP is using its power to control free speech around the world, intends to become the world’s number one superpower, and wants everyone else to kowtow to them. He emphasized the need to build bipartisan consensus, and to educate American people on problems America is facing when competing with the Communist China and how this deadly affects the American life style.

Other officials in the Biden administration have also doubled down on warnings in the past few weeks that Beijing already posed the greatest long-term threat to American national security. O’Brien also emphasized the importance of “rebuilding the U.S. Navy and having enough money in the defense budget,” as well as to “deter China” through a U.S. military presence in the Pacific regions.

This month, the National Counterintelligence and Security Center (NCSC) warned the risk of local leaders being “manipulated” to support CCP’s hidden agenda, as Communist China is targeting officials outside Washington to lobby at a federal level for policies in favor of Beijing.
