Ukrainian First Lady Visits U.S. to Promote Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine As Genocide

According to a report, president Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a video address that the first real outcome of Ukrainian First Lady Olena Zelenska’s visit to the U.S. was a draft resolution recognizing Russia’s invasion as genocide.

 A few months ago, the expert group chaired by Yermak and McFaul, suggested recognizing Russia’s actions against Ukraine as genocide. There is the first real result of the visit of the First Lady of Ukraine to the U.S. – Senators Risch, Cardin, Wicker, Blumenthal, Portman, Shaheen and Graham presented a draft resolution recognizing Russia’s actions in Ukraine as genocide, Zelenskyy added.

 The draft resolution shows that Russia’s actions are genocide against Ukraine, he said, including the forced deportation to Russia and the targeted killing of Ukrainian civilians during mass atrocities.

 The president stressed that the senators introduced the resolution shortly after the First Lady spoke to the U.S. Congress directly.

 Zelenskyy also said in the video address that the draft resolution condemns Russia’s genocide against the Ukrainian people, and he called on the U.S., NATO and EU to support the Ukrainian government in preventing further Russian genocide against the Ukrainian and provide assistance to hold Russian political leaders and military personnel accountable by the international court and criminal investigations, for wars of aggression, war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.

 Zelenskyy stressed that with all its terrorist attacks against Ukrainians and the country, Russia is only burying itself.
