CCP Expands Digital Yuan Pilots

On July 13th, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s official media announced that the E-CNY pilot has expanded from the original “10+1” pilot areas to 23 areas in 15 provinces and cities. The restrictions were lifted in Shenzhen, Suzhou, Xiong’an New District, and Chengdu, and Industrial Bank was designated as the new operating institution.

According to the press conference, as of May 31st, 15 provinces and cities have accumulated about 264 million transactions through E-CNY, with an amount of about RMB 83 billion, and the number of merchant stores that support E-CNY payment has reached 4.567 million.

Commentators said that the evil nature of the CCP determines that the so-called digitization of the Renminbi (RMB/yuan) is a movement to virtualize wealth, and the totalitarian nature of the CCP also destined the digital renminbi movement to be a scam of centralized wealth management and control.
