OPPO and Oneplus Phones Ban in Germany

On July 10th, with the success of Nokia’s infringement lawsuit against Chinese-Communist- Party-backed OPPO and Oneplus mobile phones, Germany may ban the sale of certain models of OPPO and Oneplus mobile phones. Both brands’ mobile phones belong to the same manufacturer, OPPO.

In July 2021, mobile phone manufacturer Nokia filed a patent infringement lawsuit against OPPO in India, Britain, France, Germany and other Asian and European countries. OPPO is accused of using Nokia’s patented technologies without having a valid license, such as UI/UX and security features. It is reported that OPPO continued to use it after the agreement with Nokia expired, Nokia attempted to renew the agreement with OPPO many times, but was rejected by OPPO, and then Nokia took OPPO to court.
