On July 7th, several depositors of New Oriental Country Bank Of Kaifeng (NOCBK) broke the news that the bank forced to update the App, and the new version disabled the withdrawal and transfer function.

It is reported that a number of depositors revealed that NOCBK forcibly upgraded the app version at midnight on July 6th. One depositor, Ms. Xie, said that she had to upgrade the App to log in to mobile banking. She found that the withdrawal and transfer function had been finished after entering the new version.According to the information by depositors, there were originally three options — Recharge, Withdrawal, and Detailed Record — under the App’s “Electronic Account” section, but now only leaving Recharge and Detailed Record. In addition, the Transfer channel has also been disabled under the “Available Account Balance” secion.

The bank’s staff confirmed the above news. If the Android App is not upgraded, the mobile banking cannot be used, and the upgraded withdrawal button is temporarily invisible. He said the iOS App is expected to be upgraded next week, which now has a withdrawal button but no withdrawal service.

It is reported that not only the App system of NOCBK has problems, but the mobile banking apps of Yuzhou Xinminsheng Village Bank, Zhecheng Huanghuai Community Bank and Shangcai Huimin County Bank have also been unavailable for a long time.

The four of Henan’s rural banks collapsed before, causing depositors to be unable to withdraw. Subsequently, many depositors went to Zhengzhou, Henan Province, to protest, but were subject to “stability maintenance” by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The CCP used the privilege of giving Red Code to quarantine the depositors to restrict their travel.
