Zelenskyy on EU Membership: We Don’t Want to Wait Years

Ukraine does not want to take decades join the EU, and for that it must undertake its duties “perfectly”. In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recalled that the membership application was signed five days after the Russian invasion on February 24th.

Zelensky said: “We have been involved in the application for 115 days. Our road to EU membership must not last years or decades. We must run fast on this road and do our job perfectly, let our friends in Europe make another historic decision for us.” Last week, the EU recognized Ukraine and Moldova as candidate states.
