Communist China to Ease Entry Restrictions for US Citizens, Allowing Transit Through Third Countries

The Chinese embassy in Washington said in a notice on Friday (July 1st) night that Communist China would ease entry restrictions on U.S. citizens, allowing transit through third countries, relaxing rules the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has imposed to restrain the CCP virus.

Communist China’s “dynamic zero” policy is designed to minimize the risk of infected travelers from abroad. The policy has already led to numerous obstacles to international travel, from restrictions on issuing and renewing passport for Communist Chinese citizens to strict quarantine requirements upon arrival.

According to an updated policy statement, US citizens with a valid negative CCP virus test result and planning to enter Communist China can now apply for and receive a green health code for entry from the US or a third country. In the past, the embassy only granted codes to US citizens flying directly from the US.

Communist China recently also eased the same restrictions on citizens of other nations.

Those restrictions, combined with the limited number of direct flights from the US to Communist China, have led to airfares as high as about $7,100. These changes came after the May 18th announcement of a slight relaxation of CCP virus testing rules for people arriving in Communist China from countries including the US.
