Chinese Communist Navy Ships Make Rare Route Changes in Waters Near Taiwan and Japan

Communist China navy ships made a rare voyage on Tuesday between Taiwan’s Yilan County and Japan’s Yonaguni Island, a rare route to the Pacific Ocean.

Two Communist China navy ships reversed their usual route into the Pacific via the Miyako Strait on Tuesday, sailing between Yilan and Yonaguni for the first time. Meanwhile, the Chinese Air Force on Tuesday also dispatched 29 jets flights into Taiwan’s Air Defense Identification Zone, an incursion closer to Taiwan’s southeastern region than before.

The Ministry of National Defense of Taiwan said its navy is closely monitoring the movements of all Chinese ships. The Taiwan military has confidence and determination and is prepared to safeguard the country.
