Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the Ukrainian president and peace negotiator, said on the 28th that any agreement with Russia is not credible and that its invasion can only be prevented by force.
Podolyak wrote on Telegram that any deal with Russia is worthless and that Ukraine cannot negotiate with a country that is full of lies.
“It has been proven that Russia is a barbaric country that threatens the security of the world, and barbarians can only stop it with force,” Podolyak said.
According to reports, the last time Russia and Ukraine negotiated publicly was on March 29, after Russia-Ukraine peace talks stalled, Russia and Ukraine kept accusing each other. The Kremlin said earlier this month that Ukraine had shown no willingness to continue peace talks, while officials in Kyiv accused Russia of deliberately hindering progress.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on May 23 that he would only be willing to meet with Putin to discuss how to end the war because he is the only one who can make a decision.
