The U.S. Secretary of States Antony Blinken said the U.S. stood with countries and people around the world against the genocide and crimes against humanity in Xinjiang and Tibet. CCP authority continued its brutal campaign against Tibetans and their culture, language, and religious traditions.
In Hong Kong, the Chinese Communist Party imposed harsh anti-democratic measures under the guise of national security. CCP’s treatment of ethnic and religious minorities in Xinjiang and Tibet along with many other actions went against the core tenets of the UN Charter and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that Beijing constantly cited.
The U.S. will continue to raise these issues and call for change not to stand against CCP but to stand up for peace, security, and human dignity.
